part 9 : TO FEEL LOVED mini (ARss )

She sat on the swing for who knows how long. She just didn't want to go home. She turned off her phone and just sat there. She didn't know what she was feeling. She was having mix emotions and it killed her to be like this. She sighed and got up. She had been sitting there for hours. She walked to her car and pulled out of the park. She went to buy something to eat and then headed to Raj's grave. She had not been there for a while now. She got out of her car and walked to where he was.

She knelt down and touched the gravestone. More tears rolled down her cheeks as she thought of the last two and half years without him. It was the most painful time of her life, but somehow Armaan  had impacted her life. He had somehow entered her life and affected her in the most profound way.

"Raj how are you doing? Are you missing me like I'm missing you," she said out loud. She picked up this photo and stared at it. She had missed his smile, the smile that had touched her heart deeply. The smile that she had missed so dearly. The smile that brings forth a kind of warmth that she can't explain. She traced her hand around his face.

"Raj , you look so cute and lively in this picture. Who knows that one day you will be gone from this world? Do you remember this picture? I forced you to take it and you didn't want to take it. I tricked you into taking the picture and when you found out that I tricked you, you pinched my face so hard that I never tricked you again. You were so cute and adorable in this picture. I bought that shirt for you on your birthday. You would always wear it," she said to no one in particular.

In that same grave yard, a young woman was visiting her deceased husband. It had been five years since he had left her. He was only twenty four when he left her alone in this world. Since then, she had not been with anyone. She brought him some flowers and knelt down in front of the grave. She wasn't crying, but happy. She was happy that he had led her to find someone who can cherish her and love her the same way he did.

"Karan , thank you so much for bringing me the happiness that I've been searching for. I know that you will forever watch over me," she said, as she replaced the dead flowers for the new ones. She got up and walked away. She was walking to her car, when she spotted Ridhima kneeling in front of a grave. 'Is she crying?' She thought herself. It was as if someone was telling her to walk over to the girl and comfort her. She walked towards Ridhima. As she got closer, she heard muffled cries. She put her hand on the girl's shoulder.

Ridzi looked up and saw a young woman, smiling at her. She smiled back and stood up. The woman just stared at her and then to the gravestone in front of them. That was when she knew that the girl had shared the same fate as her. She pulled the girl into a hug. After a few seconds, she pulled away from the hug.

"Hello, my name is Sharda ," she said to Ridhima

"My name Ridhima ," she said.

The lady gasped and covered her mouth, "you're the infamousMiss Gupta !"

"I guess'" she said, speechless.

"Sorry about that, anyways, who is he to you?" she asked, pointing to the grave.

Ridhima turned and stared at for a minute before answering her, "he is my fianc'he was my fianc."

"I see. So'we share the same fate," she said. Ridzi looked at her surprised and shocked.

"What do you mean? Did you also lose your fianc?" she asked.

"Want to go for a ride with me? We can talk about it then. Let me take you to my favorite restaurant and I'll tell you the whole story," she said. Ridhima agreed and followed her to her car. The whole ride there was in silence. No one said a word, but questions flooded their minds. Shardha pulled up into a parking space and parked the car. They got out of her car and walked into the restaurant.Ridz had a feeling that she had been here before, but she can't remember when. It brought forth a similar feeling, but she couldn't pinpoint it. She followed Sha into an empty table and sat opposite her.

A waitress came and took their orders. A few minutes after the waitress had left; Sha began to tell Ridzi her story.

"This is going to be a long story, but I know that by the end of it, it will motivate you to move on. Time does not wait for anyone," she said. Ridzi had heard this line one too many times, but she still listened to Shardha story.

"I was a college student when I meet him. His name was Karan He was easygoing and very smart. What I like most about him was his dancing skills. He was a really great dancer and he belonged to a dancing crew. He was the first person to talk to me in college. I mean, I did have friends, but they all attended a different school from me. I was kind of a shy person and didn't talk much, but when I'm with him, I can just be myself. He had taught me so many things. He was a natural born genius. After a few months of being with him, we started dating. All through out college, he was my companion. He was my other half, my savior, my love. We got married right after graduation. On the night of our wedding, he promised me that we will be together forever and that no one can come between us. But five years ago, he lied to me and left me in this cruel world. Without him, I couldn't live any longer. I feel into clinic depression and tried committing suicide. But, one day, I attended a friend's wedding and met Jai He was there for me and helped me overcome this obstacle. The funny thing was, he was Karan's  closest friend. I have never met him, since he was staying in Shanghai for school, but somehow we met. He was always there for me and helping over this grieve. For the longest time ever, I couldn't let me in my heart because it was occupied by Karan, but a year ago, I almost lost him in a skiing accident. When he disappeared after we had come down from the slopes, I realized that I had loved him from the beginning. That he was the one who Karan had sent to me; to protect me and cherish me as much as he did.Ridhima , I don't know your past, but when I saw you at the grave yard, I heard a whisper. He was telling me to tell you my story. To help you realize that the one who is always next to you is the one he wants to love and cherish you as much as he did," she said.

Ridhima sat there in silence. This woman's story was similar to hers. To be exact, it was the same story. Shardha stared at ridzi. She wasn't sure if ridzi  was crying or thinking. She watched for ridzi's reaction. Ridzi slowly lift up her head and smiled at Shardha.

"Thank you,Shardha . I finally understand that he only wanted me to be happyRaj , I finally understand what you want me to do. I finally understand," she said. Shardha smiled at her.

"I'm glad that you have finally understood what he was trying to tell you. Ridhima , remember, time does not wait for anyone. It is selfish and cruel. You must learn how to grieve with those we loves you," she said. Ridzi nodded and got up.

"Thank you so much, Shardha , I will forever be grateful to you," she said. She grabbed her things. She was about to leave, when Shardha stopped her.

"This is his favorite restaurant. Whenever I miss him, I would come here and think. This is his favorite table because it oversees the whole city. This is his restaurant. He opened this restaurant for the view of the city.Ridhima , if you really miss him, you must remember to visit his favorite place. It will help you feel better," she saidRidhima  turned around and smiled at her. She finally understood everything. After talkingto shardha , she felt so much better. It was nice to know that you are not alone in this world; that there are people who are going through the same thing.

She ran out of the restaurant and to the grave. She was smiling. For now on, she was going to face everything with a smile and be like Shardha. She will help those who are mourning and grieving for their love ones. She was going to help them overcome this and let them know that they are not alone in this world. When she reached the grave, it was already getting dark, but she didn't feel scare or tired. She ran to his grave and knelt down in front of him. She picked up his picture and smiled.

"Thank you, thank you so much. Thank you for bringing Armaan  into my life and allowing him to heal my heart. Thank you for letting me meet Shardha  today and listening to her story. Thank you so much. I love you. You will forever be a part of me, but I know that you are letting Armaan  take care of me. You are giving me the chance to love again, when I refuse to love. You allowed him to come into my life and changed me. Thank you so much," she said. She kissed his picture and ran to her car.

On her way back to Her house , she got into an accident. It was a head on accident. The driver was drunk. She was rushed to the hospital. She was in the ER for two hours straight. Her family and friends paced the room. Armaan  and Calvin came running in and saw the gang pacing and waiting patiently. They ran up to Rahul and demanded for an explanation.

"Calvin, Armaan , she had gotten into an accident. She has been in the ER for two hours already," he said sadly. Armaan  ran up to the door and banged on it.

"I haven't even told her that I love her. I haven't even expressed my feelings to her. She still hadn't accepted me into her heart. Ridhima, you have touched my heart. You had made me fall in love with you without me even knowing. You have replaced the hurt in my heart and taught me about true loveRidhima ! YOU HAVE TO PERSERVERE. YOU HAVE TO BE STRONG! I LOVE YOU RIDHIMA !" he shouted in tears. Everyone stared at him. They felt his pain. They all knew that Ridhima had slowly touched him and made him love her. She allowed herself into his heart and taught him the value of true love. Armaan  fell to his knees in tears. He knelt down in front of the door and prayed for her safety. He asked Raj to watch over and let her come back to him. Tears rolled down his cheeks. He had never felt his way before. He had never begged for help. He had never knelt down for a girl before. He hasn't prayed for anyone's safety before. This was all new to him'everything was so new for him. It was because of Ridhima  that he was feeling like this'she had left a deep impression in his heart'
