Chapter 27 : Dangerous Desire (AR)

 Races, Parties... Rihanna

It was around 6:45 in the evening.  The light blue sky was starting to fade into the blanket of darkness, leaving the traces of the pinks and violets.  It was such an amazing sight.  You couldn't help but admire and priase the Almighty's creation and Armaan wasn't an exeption.  He stood beside the window in his room and stared out into the beautiful evening sky in front of him.
One of his favorite pass time was staring at the night sky.  It gave him a sense of peace.  Obviously, he never believed in the one this beautiful creation belonged to.  Yes.  He was an athiest.  Not from now, but since the tender age of ten.  He simply refused to believe He existed because if He did, he wouldn't have gone through all that in his life.  It pained him so much to think about all he faced ever since his childhood.  But being the strong, masked man he was, he was not going to bring himself to admit it.
Armaan heard some noise coming from the hall.  He walked and opened the door just a little and peaked.  He saw Riddhima and Muskaan walking to the main door stealthily with a bag hanging from their shoulders.  He observed them closely.  Once they had moved out, Armaan pulled his shirt on and walked out with his keys.

By the time he was out of the house, he saw the duo leaving in a rickshaw.  He quickly sat inside his car and followed them, making sure he wasn't looking suspicious.  Since the traffic was high for some odd reason, he soon lost track of her, but he knew where they were going.  In almost 45 minutes, he reached Red Lakes Club.
He became curious hearing loud noises coming from the back of the club.  He hadn't been here before, so he didn't really know what was there and what not.  Letting the curiosity get the better of him, he followed the noise and was greeted by the sight of a huge gathering.  As he moved closer, he realized this was a race track.  A bike race was about to start in a few moments.  A name caught his attention.
"Rihanna!  Rihanna!  Rihanna!  Rihanna!" He heard people cheering for Rihanna, the same name that had made him restless.  Out of no where, he saw two bikes racing in full speed and stopping at the starting line.  From the looks of it, he could tell the bike riders were both females. Both of them wore thigh-length leather shorts and jacket with black sport gloves.  He tried to figure out who the two were, but their helmets covered their faces.
"Boys and gals!  Welcome to the most happening bike race of the year!  Today we have the two most amazing bike racers of the century!  On the red bike we have Sonya, the famous bike racer of London and on the blue one, we have our favorite.  The most happening, gorgeous, and dream of every young man-Rihanna!" The sounds of people clapping echoed everywhere as the speaker spoke into the mike.
"So today's game shall be called the 'Rings of Fire!'  Both of our racers are going to go through ten rings which'll have fire coming out from all sides.  Whoever goes through all of them and comes out perfect shall be the winner of today's race and the other?  Heh.  The other will probably end up in the hospital.  So let's see who wins this!  Ten rings.  Five laps.  Two racers.  On your mark, get set, GO!"
The bikes roared into life and rocketed through the rings.  The tension was running in everyone's veins.  This was a no chance situation.  There was no way either of them was going to come out unharmed.  The bikes flew past each others, making it difficult to guess the winner every second.  The sounds of gasps kept escaping everyone's mouth as the two passed all the rings.
Armaan was just in awe as he stared at the race.  Yeah, that Sonya was good, but Rihanna was way better than her.  She raced like a professional.  Not even one mistake could be seen.  He had become a fan of her without a doubt.
They were on their last lap, the most difficult one.  The rings were much smaller than the previous ones, which meant it was a matter of life and death.  Just one mistake, and you were dead.  Both of them were now moving side by side in full speed.  Suddenly, Rihanna increased her speed and within a second she flew through the ring and past the finishing line.  Everyone clapped and cheered for her victory.  Rihanna turned around and saw Sonya and her bike on the ground, struggling to get up.  She gets off the bike in style and took her helmet off.  Armaan thought he'll finally get to see the mysterious girl, but unfortunately her back was turned to him.  Before he could move any closer, the crowd just rushed to her and blocked all ways of seeing her.
Armaan tried his best to have a look of Rihanna, but the crowd was just making it impossible.  He suddenly remembered he was here to keep an eye on Riddhima.  But where was she?  He walked to the the front and was about to enter the club, when one of the guards stopped him.
"Excuse me.  Aap andar nahin jaa sakte."
"Kyun?"
"Kyunki iss party mein andar jaane ke liye invitation ki zaroorat hain.  Do you have one?" Armaan knew this was going to be a bit hard, but he knew what to do.
"Mujhe invitation ki zaroorat nahin hain.  Do you know who I am?" He rolled his eyes and asked irritatedly.
"Who are you?" Armaan stepped up to him and look him in the eye.
"Armaan Mallik." His eyes widened as he realized this was Armaan Mallik, the owner of Mallik Empires.
"I-I'm sorry Sir.  A-aap andar jaa sakte hain." He nodded and went inside.
The club was overly crowded with people with loud music playing in the background.  It was dark in every part of the club, yet he saw people dancing, drinking at the bar that was available and some even making out in a corner.  He tried to find Riddhima, but remained unsuccessful in doing so.
But he still couldn't help but think why a girl like Riddhima was in this club.  This was hell expensive and there was no way Riddhima could afford this one in the salary she was getting.  Not that they gave her less, but she hadn't been working there long enough.  Being a member here would cost no less than 900,000 rupees.  How the hell was she going to afford this club?  And not only that, but why would she want to join it in the first place?  It just wasn't making any sense.  Riddhima and club couldn't be put in a sentence together.

The music suddenly changed and everyone clapped in excitement.  At the same time, Armaan felt a gush of wind pass through his body.  He knew she was here.  He could feel her presense even admist the crowd.  He slowly turned around and saw a girl with her back turned to him, moving her body to the beats.

Shaamiyaana
Meri yeh baahon ka

Aashiyaana
Kuch begunaahon ka

Aasaan hain aana iss mein
Koi na veham kare...
She turned around and Armaan almost got a heart attack.  That girl was none other than Riddhima!

Shaamiyaana
Meri yeh baahon ka

Aashiyaana
Kuch begunaahon ka

Aasaan hain aana iss mein
Koi na veham kare...
Armaan scanned her from head to toe.  She wore a loose indigo dress which ended right at her mid-thigh, revealing her perfectly shaped, long legs.  She had a white belt going around her waist, which gave her a sexyish look.  Her curls were flying in the air, giving her a naughty air and wore high stilletoes.  In short, she looked smokin' hot.
She danced like a professional.  Her moves were crisp and fierce.  She was flawless.  She had the right amount of attitude and fierceness.  Armaan was just in awe seeing her.  He never knew Riddhima could dance like that.  He was shocked to the core seeing her wear those type of clothes, but couldn't help the desires that were awakening inside him once again.

A guy walked up to her and moved around her while she just smiled a knowing smile.  They both moved to the beats together in sync as if they were reflections of each other and then he left.
Riddhima just danced like there was no tomorrow and the other boys couldn't help but come up to her and dance along.  This was something that Armaan simply couldn't stand.  His blood boiled seeing the other boys dance so close to her and Riddhima not say anything.  He glared at those boys, almost wanting to kill them through his eyes.
He slowly walked up to her and pulled her close by her waist, crashing her petite body into his, taking her by surprise.  He thanked the darkness because he knew she couldn't see his face clearly as they were away from the light, but he could see her clearly.
Riddhima was just shocked feeling herself crash into some unknown man's chest, but somewhere inside she knew who he was.  That touch... it was something she could never ignore.  Yes, it was dark, but she could clearly see those electric blue eyes bore into her green ones.  But then again, how could it be him?  He didn't even know she was here!  Well, that's what she thought.
Dill toh mera paas na aaya hain kabhi
Dill toh mera paas na aayega kabhi
Dill toh tera haath se jaayega kabhi
Baat yeh meri maano na
Thinking it was some random guy, she pushed him away and moved back, shaking her body slightly.  She turned around and resumed her dance, ignoring the little excitement she was feeling inside.

Dill toh mera paas na aaya hain kabhi
Dill toh mera paas na aayega kabhi
Dill toh tera haath se jaayega kabhi
Baat yeh meri maano na
Armaan moved to her slowly, admiring her curves that the dress pointed out clearly, whereas she kept dancing, oblivious to his advances and those ferocious demons which were raging inside him.
Dekho jaa se guzrega

He caught her arm and twirled her into his arms.  Her back was pressed against his chest.  She still couldn't see his face because of the darkness, but his eyes were clearly seen by her.  She was swaying her hips seductively, but still couldn't ignore the fire her body was on feeling his hands on her waist.  He dipped his head and kissed her nape making her close her eyes in pleasure.

Dekho jaa se guzrega
Jo bhi dill mein utrega
Dheere dheere peeghlega

He turned her around in his arms and pulled her closer, if possible.  Riddhima, who was failing to comprehend who this guy was, resumed her dance in his arms, realizing the other dancers on there were doing the same.  She didn't even realize she was doing nothing, but adding fuel to his desires even further.

Reham kare
Rama, rama, rama, rama, rama...
Riddhima stopped dancing when she felt her face just inches away from Armaan's.  She was once again captivated by his beautiful eyes, but broke away from him before she could lose herself any further and moved away from him.

Reham kare

She went and joined her friends on the stage and danced with them, as if nothing really had happened, but on the inside, she was getting restless every passing moment.

A few other boys joined her this time, while she just rolled her eyes in mock and they danced together.

Have mercy girl

Soon, the entire club was on the stage and they were dancing together.

The song ended and confettis were flying everywhere.  The club was filled with applauses, cheers and screams of excitement.  The dead club was suddenly filled with happiness.  Amongst them, Armaan just stood behind one pillar, gazing at Riddhima.  He was obviously turned on by the seductive dance of Riddhima, but his mind was filled with a million more questions.  Whatever it was, he was gonna his answers today.

Riddhima walked out of the stage along with her friends and they sat down at a table.
"Rihanna!  You can't believe how much we've missed ya girl!  And babes.  You set the stage on fire!  You're the best!" Armaan was shocked.  Riddhima is Rihanna!
"I know!  And Rihanna.  You bloody burned the bike race!  Sonya was nothing in front of you!" He heard Muskaan speak up.  So even she knew about the Rihanna secret.
"Thanks guys.  I know I'm the best."
"But Rihanna.  I'm very mad at you.  How can you ignore my calls like that?"
"Mr. Samrat Shergill.  I almost got caught because of you and you are mad at me?  I'm the one that should be mad at you.  But anyways.  And mister.  Happy birthday!  You've finally turned 23 now!"
"Thanks babes.  Where's my gift?" Riddhima chuckled at this.
"You got your gift already.  I won the race for you and also danced.  What more do you want?" Samrat looked at his other friends.
"Umm... Rihanna.  Can I ask you a question?" Another girl spoke up.
"Yeah Gunjan.  Go ahead." Gunjan looked at another girl who stood beside her.
"Rihanna... we've known each other for a long time now.  For about 5 years.  But..."
"But what Nupur?"
"Rihanna... we know most of the things about you.  But we still don't know why you live with two identities.  I mean... Rihanna... Riddhima... why?" Riddhima smiled.
"Diya, why are you asking me this so suddenly?  I mean, didn't we decide not to ask any questions about this?"
"Yeah, I know babes, but this question has been roaming around in our heads for quite a while now.  And all of us wanna know.  Tell us, please." Riddhima sighed and looked at Muskaan.
"Guys, it's not that big of a deal.  And if you all wanna know, I don't mind telling you all.  Guys... I always wanted to be like this, ever since my childhood days.  Adventures, parties, clubs, races... that was me.  But Mama-Papa have always been over protective about me.  They always thought I'll end up taking the wrong path or will get misleaded and they stopped me.  I never said a word about this because they're my parents and they gotta be right.  After all, they know more than me.  But... at the same time... I just couldn't suppress my wishes.  And then I met you guys in college.
"You guys made me... you know... think that it's alright to sometimes do as your heart wishes.  And I did so.  I became Rihanna.  I did what I wanted to and started to live my life the way I wanted.  At times when I wanted to come party here, I would just lie to Mama-Papa by saying I'm going over to my friend's house to study for some stupid test and come straight here.  I know it was wrong and I did feel very guilty about that, but knew this was probably the only way.
"It's not like I don't like my life as Riddhima.  I love it.  Everyone loves and adores me and I know I can never get enough of it.  But... I dont know... I guess being Rihanna just makes me, me." She turned around and looked at them with a big smile on her face.
"Are you guys happy now?" They smiled at her and had a friendly group hug.  They all never knew about this, but were very happy for her.
Armaan, on the other hand, just stood there shocked.  He hadn't expected this.  Never.  He understood what Riddhima meant.  Even he had been through this phase once, a very long time back.  But he never knew this side of Riddhima ever existed.  He always thought of Riddhima as the sweet, caring, beautiful girl, not the smoking hot, sexy chick!  Dance was alright, I mean he could deal with that, but bikes!  Was she freaking kidding!  She basically burned up the race track.  She could put the big racers to shame, so that Sonya chick was nothing.
"Waise Rihanna, just a question.  Where the hell were you these two months?  Not a freaking sign of you!" said Mayank.
"Arre Mayank, woh... actually tum logo ko toh pata hi hain na.  Maine Mallik Empires join kiya tha aur kaam mein itna busy ho gayi thi ki yahaan aane ka time hi nahin milla."
"Oh well that's nice.  You're not even gonna call us now."
"Uday!  Main tum logo ko call kaise karti?  Mera saara time office mein jaata tha aur vahaan mein tum sab ko call nahin kar sakti thi.  Aur phir ghar pe Mama-Papa hote the toh aise call nahin kar sakti thi.  Aur phir abhi kuch time pehle jo Ahuja's ka mess tha, usse bhi toh solve karna tha.  So I just couldn't call you guys."
"Yeah right.  And now you can."
"Samrat!  Mama-Papa Chandigarh gaye hain.  Issi liye toh main yahaan aayi hoon!"
"What?"
"Uncle-Aunty Chandigarh gaye hain?"
"Kyun?"
"Woh meri Nani ki tabiyat kharaab ho gayi thi.  That's why."
"Oh."
"Toh matlab tum yahaan aksar aaogi na."
"Yep.  Mama-Papa nahin hain, toh yahaan aana jaana laga rahega."
"Lekin phir tumhari job ka kya?  Don't you work in Mallik Empires?"
"I used to."
"Matlab?"
"Matlab I left Mallik Empires." She said as if it was the most casual thing in the world to say.
"Kya!"
"Rihanna!  Have you bloody lost it?"
"Why are you guys yelling at me?"
"Dude!  Tum Mallik Empires mein kaam kar rahi thi.  The most popular and reputed company of India!  And tumne usse chhod diya!  Kyun?"
"Haan!  Samjhaao isse kuch!  Yeh kamini toh vapas company join karne ka naam hi nahin le rahi." Said Muskaan.
"Kya Muski tu bhi!"
"Kya Muski!  Hum sab kitna chahte hain ki tu vapas company join kare.  Aur tu hain, ki mana kar rahi hain.  Pata hain yeh kya keh rahi hain?  'Muski.  I wanna try something new.'  New meri joothi!" She mimicked her and scolded her.
"Toh iss mein galat kya hain?  It's my choice na!"
"Lekin Rihanna, aise chances baar baar nahin milte.  I mean.  The Armaan Mallik ki secretary banna is not cake walk!"
"Uss Armaan Mallik ka toh naam matt lo!" She spoke angrily which made Armaan very interested in the conversation.
"Kyun?  Aisa kya kiya ussne?"
"Kya kiya?  Yeh puchho kya nahin kiya!  Maine vapas company join karne se manna kar diya, toh mere ghar par aa kar baeth gaya.  Keh raha tha ki jab tak main vapas company join karne ke liye haan na keh doon, woh vahaan se jaayega nahin."
"WHAT!"
"Yes!"
"I don't believe this.  Armaan Mallik tere ghar par reh raha hain!"
"Aur woh bhi tujhe manaane!"
"Ji haan!"
"Wah!  Tu kitni lucky yaar Rihanna!  Yeh toh bilkul SRK ke filmon jaisa hain!  Hero heroine ko manaane usske ghar par baeth jaata hain.  Hey bhagwaan!  Kahin tum dono ka chakar toh nahin chal raha!" said Nupur.
"Ab tum apna SRK lecture shuru matt karna.  Hum ne already ratt liya hain." Mayank said dramatically.
"Shut up Mayank!" She scolded him which made everyone giggle.
"But seriously Rihanna.  Are you sure tere aur Armaan ke beech mein kuch nahin hain?"
"What are you saying Mayank?  Aisa kuch nahin hain!"
"Sure!" They are said teasingly whereas she just rolled her eyes.
"Ab chalo guys.  Hum yahaan Armaan ki baatein karne aaye hain ya Samrat ka birthday celebrate karne?  Come on guys!  Let's go party!" They smiled widely and moved to the dance floor.
****
Riddhima walked in the emptry corridor of the club.  The only thing she could hear was her high heels banging against the hard marble underneath her.  The party was reaching its end and most of them had left.  Even Riddhima and Muskaan thought is was wise to leave as it was getting very late.  Since Riddhima couldn't go home in the 'Rihanna-Mode', she thought it was better to change back into her 'Riddhima-Mode'.  Her feet came to a stop hearing slow footsteps.  Her mind became alert and turned around slowly.  Her heart was starting to beat fastly as she spoke.
"Who's there?" She heard nothing but her voice being echoed in that vacant corridor.  Once again she heard the faint sound of the steps.  They were quicker this time.
"Who's it?" She barely let out a whisper.  Fear was taking over her senses.  Her feet moved back on their own.  She suddenly got pulled into an empty room and was pushed against the door.  A feeling of restlessness was starting too settle inside her heart.  A pair of strong arms were pinning her delicate body to the door.  She couldn't see the person but knew this touch more than she knew herself.
"Who are you?  Chhodo mujhe warna main chilaaungi!" She tried struggling in his hold but was pulled closer.  She was shocked seeing Armaan there with a smirk playing on his lips.
"Armaan?" She was shocked seeing him there.  How did he get here in the first place?  What was he doing?  Did he know about her?  All these questions were roaming in her mind.
"Why are you so shocked... Rihanna?" She looked at him wide-eyed.  So he knew, didn't he?  He knew everything.  That unknown stranger she danced with was Armaan.  He had overheard her conversation with her friends.
"Tu-tumne... meri baatein sun li?" He just smirked and pushed her locks behind her ear.
She blinked softly, mesmerized by his touch.  She looked deep in his ocean blue eyes, once again getting drowned into those ferocious waves of emotions they reflected.  They were slowly starting to intoxicate her senses.  He cupped her face and inched closer to her.  Her eyes became heavy and she closed them.  She could feel her heart pounding wildly against her chest.
His eyes dropped down to her rosy petals.  A sudden thirst rose inside him.  He saw her bite her lower lip.  He moved his thumb over her lips, stopping her.  He cupped her face very softly and gently and inched closer.  Her breaths came shallow and heavy feeling his body slowly pressing her front.  He placed his lips over hers while she let a gasp out.  He took it slow and gentle, savoring her chocolate flavored lips.
Riddhima responded back with equal fervor.  Her mind was just clouded with his thoughts.  No one else existed in the world at the moment as they kissed each other.  She clung onto him for support knowing her legs would give away any moment.  The slow and gentleness soon faded away as passion took over.  He pressed her further into the wall and kissed her hungrily.  He probed her lips, wanting her to open up to him.  She parted her lips and he entered her mouth immediately.  Their tongues fought for dominance as the passion drove them crazy.  She pressed him closer to her and messaged his neck whereas he rubbed her back crazily.
The spell was broken at the shrill of Riddhima's cell phone.  She jerked her eyes open and tried clearing her foggy mind.  She realized where they were and what they were doing.  They were kissing like crazy!  She pushed him away and he stumbled back.  Before he could even know what was happening, Riddhima opened the door and ran straight to the restroom.  He just ran his hand through his hair, trying to calm himself.  His heart was still thudding wildly.  No, he had not intended to kiss her.  He didn't even know how he lost control and kissed her like crazy.  But he didn't even regret it.  If only that stupid cell phone wouldn't have rung like that.
Riddhima closed the door and leaned against it.  She was scared.  He was scaring her now.  The way he kissed her was just insane.  It was just driving her crazy!  She felt the chills running down her spine remembering that kiss again.  She was sure if not for her cell phone, they would've crossed all lines.  She closed her eyes and tried calming her mad heart.
Stop it Riddhima.  Just stop it.  This is wrong.  Very wrong.  Armaan... Armaan's engaged to Anushka.  You... need to keep yourself away from him.  But what can I do?  He doesn't let me stay away from him.  The more I try, the more close he comes.  That's why I don't want to join the company again.  Trying new things is just an excuse.  I... I just wanna stay away from him.  But him staying at my house isn't doing me any better.  He's just coming near.  What can I do?
She was brought out of her thoughts hearing her cell phone ring again.
"Hello?"
"Ridz!  Tu kahaan hain!  Pichhle pandra minute se tera wait kar rahi hoon!  Come fast woman!"
"Yeah, I'm coming."
She looked in the mirror and saw her disheveled state.  Her hair was a mess and her lip gloss was smudged over her swollen lips.  She touched her lips gently and felt the kiss playing before her eyes.  What could she do now?  Were things in control now?  Was she in control?
